I am a research assistant working at the Department of Computer and Systems Sciences at Stockholm University and the Royal Institute of Technology.

Favorite Research:
My main interests lie in information extraction and retrieval, and in particular automatic text summarization, but I've been known to dabble in a variety of language technology related tool development.
Favorite Teaching:
I particularly enjoy teaching, as well as studying, anything even remotely related to computational linguistics and language technology. I also enjoy teaching database and weboriented programming.

I am a research assistant working at the Department of Computer and Systems Sciences (DSV) at Stockholm University (SU) and the Royal Institute of Technology (KTH). On June 11th 2007 I defended my thesis Resource Lean and Portable Automatic Text Summarization.

Currently I am teaching administration of relational databases as distance courses, as well as courses on web mining and information retrieval at DSV as well language technology at the School of Computer Science and Communication, KTH. I am also co-supervising Sumithra Velupillai in her phd studies, for which Hercules Dalianis is main supervisor.

Hercules Dalianis, Sumithra Velupillai and Martin Hassel held a lunch seminar on three Human Language Technology research projects here at DSV.
